My current project is to write ten brief yoga sequences. Each sequence can be done in 15-20 minutes, and each sequence follows a different theme. Today’s sequence, Gentle Wake Up, warms up the body gently on those days when you just don’t feel like crawling out of bed.
- child’s pose
- rabbit pose
- cat/cow
- tabletop side stretch
- downward dog
- standing forward fold
- mountain pose
- 2-4 half sun salutes
- malasana/squat
- cobbler pose
- seated forward fold
- from a comfortable seated position:
- neck rolls
- shoulder rolls
- seated side stretches
- five deep breaths (or three-part breaths)
